Aluminium’s excellent characteristics and subsequent design flexibility have allowed it to develop innovative and creative design solutions to an optimal extent. Fifty-eight years ago, Bayards was one of the first companies to recognize the potential, flexibility, and multiple aluminium applications.
Since then, Bayards has researched, developed and improved design and manufacturing processes. As a result, with our vast experience, craftsmanship and pioneering approach to design and engineering, we can manufacture high-quality sections that are fully customized to meet the client’s most luxurious needs.
Bayards' in-house yacht building engineering department perfectly knows how to make optimal use of the advantages of aluminium. Their vast experience, along with their continuous education, enables them to execute the most complex projects. Thanks to their creativity in engineering, each challenge is solved to the client's maximum satisfaction.
The designs are made using CATIA V5, Inventor, Autocad and Tekla. Furthermore, stress calculation programs are available as Staad Pro, Femap and Mathcad. Bayards has testing facilities for the required quality inspections, such as testing the welds by use of X-ray and vacuum leak detection by use of helium.
We put people first. This is at the core of our company culture and our organisation. We believe our people make a difference in all our operations and projects. We hire the best, and we want to provide opportunities for our people and our organisation to grow, through a universal set of values and a flexible organisational structure. In this way, we are better able to provide our customers with the highest quality yacht structures.
Our team of craftsmen rise to the challenge, and they will go the extra mile. Every time. They use multiple welding techniques and machines, such as MIG welding, TIG welding, Friction Stir Welding and robot welding. Each welding technique is for a specific application, and each team member is specialised in one or the other. However, what all have in common is to accomplish the ultimate weld that meets the client’s expectations in both strength and aesthetics.
